I ran across this site a little while ago and had to post a link. You punch in a few parameters and you get HTML code to place a Google Map on your own web site.
I punched in my work address along with a few other parameters and got the following code back:

Unfortunately my blog doesn’t allow me to actually create my own HTML, so I can’t actually create the map to show you. However I did take a screen shot of the map so you can see how it looks.
The entire process took about one minute. Although you really can’t easily adapt the code for reuse among different applications e.g. pass it an x/y and show a map for a parcel, it’s great for any static maps you need to create e.g. a map to a user’s group meeting.
Sounds perfect to me. I have read this post with a great pleasure. You should write much more often.
